Running, knee surgery, COVID, gaining 50lbs, and now running again. It's time to go for a run.
I haven't been in an organized run in more than 5 years. I'm goinng to complete my first 5k in 16 days.
Goal? Finish. Goal 2: finish in under 45 minutes.
Medium term goal: 33 minute 5k on June 14, the Stars and Stripes 5k.
Longer term goal: PR a 5k, under 25:56. That's 3 consecutive miles at under 9:00. That was a pretty good run. I felt GREAT for that one. I remember it like it was yesterday.
Anyway, I was once a runner.
Now I'm back.
And I still hate running.
